Stitch Guide in American Terms:
ch- chain
sk- skip
sl st- slip stitch
sc- single crochet
xs- times (5xs is how many times you repeat the sequence.)
dcbl- double crochet back loop
st- stitch
sts- stitches
Dimensions: Approx. 2.5” width or 4″ width available.
Pattern Notes: This pattern is worked flat in rows.
Instruction:
Earwarmers – Approx. 2” to 2.5” wide
R1: ch12, sc in 2nd chain from hook, dcbl, * sc, dcbl * (3xs), sc in last st., ch1, turn
R2: sc, ch1, sk1 (over the dc from the previous row), sc (into the sc from previous row), ch1, sk1, sc repeating this sequence to end of row ending with sc in the last st, ch1, turn
R3: * sc, dcbl * (repeat from * to * across), end with sc, ch1, turn
R4: repeat row 2
R5: repeat row 3
R6: repeat row 2
R7: repeat row 3
R8: repeat row 2
R9: repeat row 3
Repeat this sequence to end on Row 63 leaving a long tail to sew the ends together with your yarn needle.
You may modify this if you want it more snug or loose, but you always want to end on an odd numbered row and start with an even number of chained stitches at the beginning.
